It was rugged, reliable, pilot's air plane. Over 7800 were built. It never gained the fame of the B-25 Mitchell. This design was a light bomber, 3 man crew, ground attack plane. Some versions saw service as a night fighter.

Developed out of the DB-7 series of light bombers. A-20s, Havocs & DB-7s saw action in almost every major theatre of operation during WWII. Used as a light bomber, ground strafer & nightfighter. Over 100 photos, 40 detail drawings, 3 pages of scale drawings, 13 color paintings, 50 pages.
