They are oversimplied versions with no explanation how they apply to packaging. This book does more to teach about the very basics of SolidWorks 2007 (now outdated) than anything to do with real life packaging (with the exception of 1 example)

The intention of this book is to provide a step-by-step guide for designing package structure and packaging mechanism with SolidWorks 2007. The intended audience is the student, engineer and persons involved in designing packaging structure, product design and mechanical design. The design examples in the chapters are simplified versions of real world designs. The chapter sequences are arranged from basic skills to more advanced skills.
